Sacred Geometry

These works are small painted geometric images floating on full sheets of archival paper. I started making them around 1989 but I’ve continued to return to the same format over the years and right up into 2020. In part, they represent a way to work out compositions and color but they’re also a distillation of the reductive in form. I think of them as sacred in that sense, a focus on purity and simplicity, they carry the elegance of mathematics in visual form.
